Chelsea's Latest Picks

Howdy folks! I just wanted to take a minute to let everyone know the new haps here at High Voltage...
We're about to overhaul the website (it's time for a fresh coat of paint) and while we're getting ready for that - I apologize if updates are a bit slow. For the latest in music news, follow us on Twitter. In the meantime, I wanted to rant and rave about a couple of CDs that have recently come across my desk.
1. Black Joe Lewis - I've been spinning the disc in my car nonstop since I got it and I can't even begin to tell you how sad I am I missed his SXSW appearances. This CD is actually what the world has been missing since James Brown's last release and yet, that description doesn't even begin to do Black Joe Lewis any justice. Looking forward to the BJL Troubadour show coming up... Official Site | Myspace
2. TAT - a punk/glam/rock band from London, England that will be appearing on the entire VANS Warped Tour this summer. I witnessed them live at the Warped Kick Off Party last night and they floored me. This is actually the style/type of band I've been looking for (alongside Hot Leg) to reignite my music flame. Check them out here.
So get busy checking those out and we'll see you at The Viper Room on April 12th.
